what is design simplicity?

All designers say simplicity is important, but what does it really mean to make something simple? Most of the time we think it means less, that by removing stuff we achieve simplicity. We think by keeping content above the fold we're helping people focus, or by using bullets instead of paragraphs more people will read it, or by cutting text in half it becomes more clear. But simple doesn't mean “less”. A better definition would be “just enough”.

While cleaning our  place I found this! Done at a time when my wife was employed there at the D.C.L. (Design Consortium Limited) It was her first job as were for few of my other batch mates, soon after we finished our B.Sc. (Built. Env.).

lies my teacher told me (book #23)

Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong is a 1995 book by sociologist James Loewen. It critically examines twelve American history textbooks and concludes that textbook authors propagate factually false, Eurocentric, and mythologized views of history. In addition to critiquing the dominant historical themes presented in textbooks, Loewen presents a number of his own historical themes that he says are ignored by traditional history textbooks. A newly revised and updated hardcover edition was released on April 1, 2008.
