fairmount & fairways (cSLa #20)

Two apatments buildings from Colombo Suburbs. I had the chance to visit the Fairmount (which is still under construction) recently with Mora students. It is the tallest apartment building in Colombo at the moment. Fairways  is its 'sister' apartment block across the road.

whacking!

In one place,
apparently students are whacking  teachers,
In the other place,
apparently teachers are whacking students,
whats wrong with us?
hope that at the 'open place'
both parties will whack each other.

Good luck!

new layout

Dear All,

You may have noticed a few recent changes on the blog layout, especially the new 3 columns layout (thanks architectonics for noticing it). Those who are conversant with blogging may know that Blog Spot does not provide 3 column layouts, so I had to work it out myself with the help of few other bloggers’ info on the web.

Hope this will be the end of this upgrading exercise. So now it has 3 columns (one dedicated column for current issues), a new logo and some other minor modifications.

Thanks for reading my rubbish!

The Grammar Vandal - one paerson's campaign to eradikcate grammear errors in public. I know, I know this has nothing to do with Sri Lankan architecture, but I just can't stop laughing!

I know that reflected trees look dodgy! Couldn't find a better image for this 5 min job. BTW guess the origin of the 'water' pic!
